Bridal Shower Gift Basket

My work partner is getting married in the summer. I wanted to do something special for her.  I know both her and her fiancé have a lot of things and they didn’t really need anything so I found something small for her.  I got her a wedding frame as well as champagne glasses to be used for the day of the wedding.

At work, I had the grade come together by bringing in their favorite bottle of wine for a special occasion for their first year of marriage.  There are many different firsts. Here are some first ideas: Christmas , Valentine’s Day, New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving, Anniversary, just because, first fight, dinner party, etc.  When you create this basket for someone be creative in different first for the first year.

We all picked a holiday or special occasion. We came together and put it into a basket with a note on each bottle of wine with words of advice.  It was amazing to see how everyone came together and put some thought into it.  My partner really loved the idea and so did her fiancé.  Below is a photo of the basket with wine. Hope this inspires you!

30th Birthday Guy Gift Ideas

Shopping for a guy that has a lot or gets things himself is very hard.  I have know my husband for 12 years.  We have been married for 5 years. So it was hard to figure out something for him after knowing him for many years. My husband loves to get things for himself, so that never gives anyone a chance to get anything for him.   My husband also has a lot of things so I didn’t want to clutter up his space with more things that mean nothing.

As my husband was turning 30, I started thinking of things to get him. I started with looking around the house for things that needed to be fixed or changed. My husband’s electronic toothbrush has been acting up so there was one gift.   His alarm clock was also not great, so that was another idea.   I kept thinking about all the things that matter to him and that helped figure out many things for him.   When my ideas came together it was exciting to order and wrap the gifts up.   The key to getting gifts for someone special is knowing them and getting things that mean something to them.

Here is a list of things that I got my husband for his 30th birthday:

  1. bath sponges
  2. nail clippers
